I took these photos over the last couple of days and thought I would share them with you, now that fall is almost over! I would love your comments & feedback Hope all my American readers (if there are any of you?) had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Gabi has been right on track with her musical contributions hailing from Berlin. I, however, had a bit of a blogging lapse. But Good Music is back
Gabi says of her new recommendation, “herewith some bittersweet indie pop goodness from Australia. Not that new but timelessly heart swelling stuff”. I can’t help but agree, and wish that Gabi scored the soundtrack to my life. This High High’s song would be perfect for a montage of me staring out of a train window thinking hipster thoughts.
The beautiful, impeccable, queen of glamour and vintage, Miss Dita von Teese speaks to Australian Vogue about her roots, her love for vintage clothing, and the art of dressing beautifully.
In this video, Dita eloquently captures so much of what I (and a lot of my friends) believe about the beauty of a real and glamourous woman. Definitely worth waiting for the video to load.
It’s my very first Thanksgiving tomorrow, so I will not be blogging, but rather be eating.
I am thankful for(from left to right); my Mom (and family), my friends (back home), and my friends (from around the world), my host family, GRSP, Rotary and Elvis, my dog. And so very very much more that could not be put into a 5 minute collage. HAPPY HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
In the next couple weeks, I’m gonna be posting on some of my all time favourite movies. You know, those that you wouldn’t change the channel if they came on? The ones that you watch after a break up? The ones that you remember as part of your childhood?
Well, yeah, those. So the first one is Grease. For some reason, in grade 3, thirty years after Grease came out, it became all the craze at school. We knew all the words, and Lord help me, but we knew all the dance moves. For some reason, I was always Danny, and would pop up my blazer collar at the beginning of ‘Greased Lightning”, and then fall on the floor. Because, well. It was so electrifying!!
Embarrassing, I know. But that’s how great the movie is. And always will be. Tell me in the comment section about some of your all time favourite, make-you-feel-better movies!
With my very first Thanksgiving coming up tomorrow, I went on a hunt for some photographs of Thanksgiving from way back when, and I am so very thankful for the treasures I found!
PS: Did you notice the new category headings on the right hand side of the blog? Pretty cool, I think!
And hello! Oh what’s that? Yes, our tickled green feature is back! If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you’ll know that I love clever, new, well thought out uses for objects and that’s just what London artist, Susie MacMurray is doing with her art installation pieces. She creates fashion (as well as art) out of things like balloons.
I love bicycles. And ever since Cambridge, I love to ride my little bike. I also love South Africa. And wonderful ideas. So, I have a lot of love for this little video.
Please, please look at Miss Moss’s full post on the Bicycle Book, it’s incredible.
