“We all get dressed for Bill” – Anna Wintour

We all know The Sartorialist (if not – welcome to another bloggy obsession). But unless you wake up every Sunday morning in your New York loft, grab the New York Times, a bagel and open it up to his spread ‘On The Street’, how many of us have heard of Bill Cunningham? The original Street Style legend? I must confess I had never heard of him (yet I own The Sartorialist’s book) until I came across the documentary about him; Bill Cunningham: New York.

These are the facts;

- Bill is a New York Times photographer

- Bill rides a bicycle through the streets of New York photographing fashion trends he sees.

- He doesn’t care who’s wearing it. Anna Wintour, David Rockefeller or downtown eccentrics – if it catches his eye – he’s capturing it.

- He is humble, unassuming and completely dedicated to his art.

- You should watch the documentary.

H is for Hipster

Sunday is for PostSecret

Fall foliage? I was dipped into the most beautiful green, gold, red, orange and yellow surroundings with my host family at their lake house. So incredibly beautiful that they deserve their own blog post. But today is Sunday. And Sunday means PostSecret. Ever since someone told me about PostSecret almost 6 years ago – I’ve missed 1 Sunday. No matter where in the world I am – or what I’m doing – come Sunday – I log on.
