Boy Crush: Courtesy of the Sartorialist

As if the Sartorialist didn’t already have my heart?! He went and posted this. The well designed, well fitting pants, the Swedish looking face, the background of New York? Has Christmas come early?? What do you think, girls and boys? Yes or no?

S is for Seat Belts

17 Aug

So, my Freitag bag uses a seat belt as the strap and I just love the idea of reusing seatbelts. These ‘Hyphen’ bags are made of died seatbelts. I think they’re pretty damn cool.

Yes, indeed, this is becoming a bit of a weekly feature! These delightful people caught my eye this past week.

Mandy's wearing: Dress = Old Khaki. Necklace & Bag = Woolworths. Shoes = Mr Price

Pam's wearing: Scarf: Moondrops (on the Bluff) T-Shirt: Legit Jacket: Black Velvet Shoes: Kelso

Adam's wearing one of his signature Tees, as well as his dad's old army bag and his old school shoes. What an epic combination of old and new.

Dre, another one of my favourites, is wearing a vintage Hugo Boss jacket, that he got tailored. See, if you buy a good jacket or a good item of clothing - it's so worth getting it professionally tailored.

Who knew our University could be so stylish? I’m just loving these street styles!

v is for varsity style

I’m a firm believer in dressing well, and putting thought and effort into what you wear. Getting dressed everyday for university after 12 years of a uniform provides a bit of a challenge in coming up with something to wear everyday.

My friends (who all have their individual style) manage to feel comfortable, look good and make a statement. Here are some of my favourite pieces from today.

Jess wore highwaisted linen pants today with such style! She paired them with a baggy blue tee (blue and cream for the win) and some hightop converse

Sophie wore a thrifted white shirt (buttoned all the way to the top making all the difference) with a grey Mr Price blazer getting the combination of thrift vs store bought just right!

I just had to photograph Soph's low bun, and how well it matched the style of the outfit!

Sophie wore her Amanda Laird Cherry shoes that match the bag she got from her mom. And yes, I'm waiting to get those in black!

Seham wore her new Woolworths shoes and I fell in love with them! Don't you just love how the toe of the shoe is slightly pointed? I do. And yes, I'm considering investing in these too.

I have loved spotting what gorgeous things my friends wear and realising what a well dressed group of people surround me!
