My mom’s a graphic designer and a single mom – so I pretty much grew up in the agency environment. Typing my assignments on a mac, collecting pantone chips, laser printing pictures of Johnny Depp, tearing pictures out of stock books and knowing a bad font when I see one.
So when Swiss Miss mentioned Milton Glaser a couple months ago – I looked him up and last night watched his documentary; Milton Glaser: To Inform & Delight and became aware of how much he’s shaped design.
The more and more I find on design thinking, the more and more I realise what a crucial part it is of my life and eventually my career.
Just in case you’re as clueless as me – here are some of Milton’s most famous designs.

(Uh, yes – I Heart NY was his idea. And every single ‘I Heart (something)’ is taken from this. Now you get how incredible he is, right?)

The man’s not just good with pictures – read some of the wisest words over here.
